Genshin Impact guide: How to unlock Realms and housing with the Serenitea Pot

Genshin Impact now has housing for players, as of patch 1.5, which allows you to decorate entire plots of land, all with the help of a teapot and a bird.

These plots of land are inside of Serenitea Pots, and they allow each player to have their own customizable area for furniture and other designs. You can place furnishable houses and decorate your own small plot of land well enough to make up a small town, if you want.

In this Genshin Impact guide, we’ll list out what you need to unlock your very own home.

Unlocking the Sereintea Pot housing realm

To unlock the housing teapot, you’ll need to do the following:

• Hit level 35 Adventure Rank or higher
• Complete the Archon Quest Chapter 1: Act 3 – A New Star Approaches
• Complete a Teapot to Call Home: Part 1

Once you complete the quest and get your teapot, you can place it in front of you and interact with it. On your first interaction, it will prompt you to pick a realm layout. Pick one you like, as you won’t be able to change your layout again for a while.

Obtaining Trust with Tubby

You’ll be able to enter your teapot as you please and interact with Tubby, a talking bird, who you’ll gain Trust with by talking to her and creating more furniture and decor in your realm. The higher your Trust with Tubby, the more Realm Currency you’ll get over time. You can use the Realm Currency to buy furniture and blueprints to build other furnishings from her.

Building furniture using Blueprints

You will actually need to use Blueprints to start building furniture. Any obtained Blueprints go into your inventory, in the section indicated with the little bag with a star on it. (It’s the same place your Fates and Condensed Resin go.) Click on the Blueprints, and click the Use button to learn the Blueprint.

There’s also a set of Teapot quests, indicated with a teapot icon at the top right of your screen, which will reward you with furniture and blueprints. Some of the quests will require you to collect materials from the outside world, but there are others that will reward you for just exploring your realm.

Placing Furniture in your Serenitea Pot

Once you get furniture and decor, you can place it by hitting the pointing hand button at the top right of your screen. Here you can place and rotate any of the obtained decorations to your liking.
